JLPGA Player Certification Test
Information regarding the 2022 JLPGA Player Certification Test
Apply to play: 10 am June 1, 2022

Players must have a JLPGA “MY PAGE” account in order to apply to take the JLPGA Player Certification Test.
Players who wish to take the JLPGA Player Certification Test should use the registration form to register as a JLPGA “MYPAGE” user and obtain a user account.
Players who already have a JLPGA “MY PAGE” account, do not need to register a new account.
Please be sure to check all the requirements and rules for applying JLPGA Player Certification Test.
Please note that we may change the way we implement the JLPGA Player Certification Test, including cancelling the JLPGA Player Certification Test altogether, depending on the spread of COVID-19 in the future.
You may not be able to enter Japan due to the Border measures to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. Please check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for the latest information.

OUTLINE
The JLPGA holds a JLPGA Player Certification Test once a year. In order to train applicants with the skills, understanding, and knowledge of golf required by professional players and to be respectable members of society, the JLPGA focuses on teaching rules and manners from the first qualifying stage.

1. Eligibility
Females (by birth) who are over 17 years of age on April 1st of JLPGA Player Certification Test year, shall be eligible to participate in the JLPGA Player Certification Test if they fulfill the requirements of each stage stated in the chart below.
Requirement
First Qualifying Stage
JGA/USGA HDCP Index5.0 or lower.
Second Qualifying Stage
- 1Players who played in the previous year’s Final Qualifying Stage of JLPGA Player Certification Test
- 2Players who are qualified from First Qualifying Stage of JLPGA Player Certification Test
- 3The top 30 applicants who are in the top 400 in the Rolex Ranking as of the last Friday of June of the relevant year and have applied for the JLPGA Player Certification Test by the application deadline separately specified by the JLPGA (Priority shall be given to those who are ranked high in the Rolex ranking as of the last Friday of June of the relevant fiscal year)
- 4Any other players approved by the JLPGA
※Those who wish to take the JLPGA Player Certification Test with the qualification③ can apply for the second qualifying stage by e-mail to the JLPGA at an e-mail address separately designated by the JLPGA by the first Monday in August of the relevant year.
Final Qualifying Stage
- 1Players who are within top 50 on the Rolex Ranking as of the last Friday of July of the relevant year.
- 2Members of the JGA National team of the given year
- 3Winners of the Japan Women’s Amateur Championship in each of the previous three years as well as the winner of the Japan Women's Amateur Golf Championship held on or before Sunday of the week containing the day four weeks before the first day of the final qualifying stage to be held in the relevant year.
- 4Winners of the Japan Women’s Student Golf Championship in each of the previous three years as well as the winner of the Japan Women’s Student Golf Championship held on or before Sunday of the week containing the day four weeks before the first day of the final qualifying stage to be held in the relevant year.
- 5Low amateur of Japan Women’s Open each of the previous three years as well as the low amateur of Japan Women’s Open held on or before Sunday of the week containing the day four weeks before the first day of the final qualifying stage to be held in the relevant year.
- 6Step Up Tour winners of the tournaments which held between the Monday of the week of previous year’s final qualifying stage JLPGA Player Certification Test and the Sunday of the previous week of the 2022 Final Qualifying Stage of JLPGA Player Certification Test
- 7Players who are within top 10 on the World Amateur Ranking as of the last Friday of July of the relevant year.
- 8Players who are qualified from Second Qualifying Stage
- 9Any other players approved by the JLPGA
- *Regarding category ②③④⑤: Under this category, a player will only be eligible to go directly to the Final Qualifying Stage once. Even if a player is eligible from more than one of these categories, a player will only be eligible to go directly to the Final Qualifying Stage once under the categories.
- *Regarding categories ③④⑤: If a player who is playing in the Final Qualifying Stage this year becomes eligible again the following year or any time after in these categories, then she will be eligible to go to the Final Qualifying Stage directly again.
- * Regarding category⑥: If a player becomes eligible under this category after the deadline of the JLPGA Player Certification Test application, then she must contact the JLPGA office by the Monday immediately after the day she becomes eligible.
2. Competition Format
First Qualifying Stage
- 13 days /54 hole stroke play
- 2Competition will be deemed complete if 18 holes are completed. If 18 holes are not completed within the schedule, a separate date will be decided to complete the competition.
- 3A player who has 92 strokes or more in each round shall not advance to the next round
Second Qualifying Stage
- 14 days / 72 hole stroke play
- 2After 54 holes are completed, all players within 8 strokes of the ranking making it through to the Final qualifying stage at each site, will play in the 4th round.
- 3Competition will be deemed complete if 18 holes are complete. If 18 holes are not completed within the schedule, a separate date will be decided to complete the competition.
Final Qualifying Stage
- 14 days /72 hole stroke play
- 2After 54 holes are completed, players who are 80th and ties or within 8 strokes of the score of 20th place in the competition (which ever includes more players), will play in the 4th round.
- 3If 72 holes are not completed in four days, the “substitute day” will be used to complete 72 holes. If 72 holes are not completed even by using the substitute day, then the competition will be deemed “officially completed” if 54 holes have been completed.
- 4Only if 54 holes are not completed after using the “substitute day”, as above, then the competition will be deemed “officially completed” if 36 holes are complete.
3.Players Proceeding to the Next Stage
Top ranking players from the first qualifying stage and the second qualifying stage at each venue shall proceed to the next stage. The ranks eligible to proceed to the next stage from each venue shall be posted at each venue.
4.Players Who Pass the Test
Players who finish in the top 20, including players who tie at 20th place, at the end of the final qualifying stage are considered to have passed the Test.
- *Details concerning the successful applicant shall be specified separately in Article 5 of the JLPGA Player Certification Test Regulations.

Membership Admission Procedures
- 1Submit necessary documents (membership application form, pledge, biography, application to register name, guarantee agreement, letter of recommendation, etc.)
- 2Pay enrollment and other fees
Enrollment fee: ¥600,000 - *Necessary documents must be submitted and enrollment fees must be paid to the JLPGA until the designated
- *Annual fee: ¥72,000
- *We will inform players who advance to the final qualifying stage of details regarding admission procedures.

Qualifying Tournament
- QT First Stage: 2022/11/22-25 72-hole stroke play (4 rounds)

- QT Final Stage: 2022/11/29-12/2 72-hole stroke play(4 rounds)
- *A player who finishes in first place in the final qualifying stage of the JLPGA Player Certification Test will qualify to participate in the Qualifying Tournament from the final stage.
Participation in Rookie Seminars (compulsory)
Date: Scheduled to be held in December
Details: The JLPGA gives lectures to rookies on a variety of topics, including manners as a member of society and the behavior expected of JLPGA members and female professional athletes.

2020年度JLPGAプロテスト第1次予選の受験申込開始日時は、2020年4月1日(水)10時となります。
受験申込にはJLPGAマイページのアカウントが必要です。受験申込希望者は、事前に受験者用ユーザー登録を行い、 マイページのアカウントを取得してください。
なお、マイページのアカウントをすでに保持している方は、このユーザー登録は不要です。
